Before registering for an account you MUST be sure that you can receive mail from us. Many free online email services filter or block all mail from warofconquest.com. We require email verification, to avoid the forums being abused by spamBOTS, if you cannot receive mail from us, you cannot verify your registration. Here are simple instructions for allowing mail from War of Conquest:
AOL Users
1) Set your mail controls to receive mail from "everyone" or "all mail". This will of course leave you open to receiving spam. If you do not want to do this...
2) Set your account to receive mail from specific websites/people. In this case you MUST add warofconquest.com to your list of allowed mail. For more information please see the AOL help center.
AOL users if you are using mail controls, and have not added us to your allowed list, the mail will simply be deleted before it ever reaches you. You will never be aware that it was sent, and it will not go to a "junk" mail folder.
Yahoo Users
Currently all War of Conquest mail sent to any Yahoo address is being tagged as spam. Depending on your mail settings you may or may not receive mail from us. Here are some things to look for and try:
1) If your Yahoo Spam Guard settings are configured to delete all spam mails upon receiving them, you will NEVER receive ANY mail from us. In order to receive mail from us you MUST set your Yahoo account to send all spam to the bulk mail folder.
2) If you don't care about spam, you can turn the Spam Guard off. However we think spam is annoying, and recommend against this.
3) Make a filter to send War of Conquest mail to the inbox. This is the best solution. Here's a link for detailed instructions.
Hotmail
Hotmail blocks all messages from War of Conquest. You have no option except to have warofconquest.com in your safe list. Without doing this you will never be aware that mails were even sent. They will NOT go to your spam/junk mail folder.
GMail users
So far, we have not had reported issues with these mail providers. If you are having difficulty, try steps similar to the above and please let us know!
