This is my reply to a fellow player regarding how nation rebirth and server resets work. I thought it helpful and decided to post it here for anyone else with the same concerns.

All nations are eventually reset to level 1 thru a game mechanic called rebirth. This allows all nations to have a chance at the prizes. Keeping any single nation from grabbing all the orbs and never having to vacate them.
When your nation rebirths it is reset to level 1, has its rebirth counter set to 1000, is reduced to a single square, and migrated to a level appropriate area of the world.
You are awarded 1000 free game credits for tech purchases in this new nation life and keep 6% of the previous points your nation had earned as a starting point to leveling up again. You will often hear these points referred to as "negs". They are displayed in your nation panel as "points to level". When you have these points, you will gain a level with each attack you make, regardless of win or loss, until all of the points are used up. At which time you continue leveling normally.
When the server is reset the process is very similar.
All nations are reset to level 1, and migrated. Rebirth counts remain unchanged, and bonus credits are not awarded.
However ALL of the points you have earned are kept, once you have used all of these points, you should be the same level as you were previous to the reset, if not slightly higher. Along with this all permanent and temporary technologies your nation has at the time of reset are refunded at the current purchase price.
And finally, we are only in the testing stages of this map, and the new technologies are no where near complete. We do not foresee this change coming until at the soonest late December, possibly into January and perhaps even as late as February. |
