If not then it's highly exploitable -

Player B (defender) is enemies with Player C (landowner with strong defences nearby). Player A is weak and is on good terms with B. Player B goes offline so that when eventually attacked by C (possibly somewhere different on the map), player A can weakly attack B causing C to lose much land to Player B from 'defensive' actions at a strategic position that C would never have attacked from.

Player C has land nearby. I have seen the exploder take that land and i have seen that exploder not take that land. How does it work?
