If you use a fast scrolling mousewheel and rapidly zoom in and out, within a few seconds you can trick it into exceeding the allowed zoom out bounds:
It's quite nice to see more of the world, but this is clearly a bug

This can also be achieved by holding down shift when scrolling with the mousewheel.
