If you go out of Full Screen mode, the client doesn't actually adjust it's size to fit the screen. The bottom half of the chat bar is knocked into the start bar.

There's a pop-down menu on the Options panel that lets you choose the client's resolution. That is independent of whether it's full-screen or not. So if it's full screen at your desktop resolution and you make it windowed, it will be a little bit too big given the Start menu. I could have it automatically change the resolution, but that could cause it to seem unpredictable and not do what people want in some cases.
